St Georges is steeped in the traditions of the past. Founded in the early 1600's by shipwreck survivors, it became the island's first capital. The Towne is a blend of the old and new, and as of 2000 is recognised as a United Nations World Heritage Site. Per UNESCO:
"The Historic Town of St George with its related fortifications is an outstanding example of a continuously occupied, fortified, colonial town dating from the early 17th century and the oldest English town in the New World."
Aunt Nea's Inn is a short stroll to the Olde Towne's historic museums, forts, churches, shopping, pubs, restaurants, cinema and beaches. Beaches, the Bermuda Railway Trails, an 18 hole Trent-Jones golf course, and nearby tennis courts await your exploration.
King's square, acts as the towne's center. It is also the hub for watersports activities. We can easily arrange sailing, wreck diving, scuba diving, parasailing, glass bottom boats and water tours for you to enjoy. Many of these activities can be pre-booked prior to arrival using our Activity Planner.
